Give-Away!

I am in Houston having a fabulous time learning, buying cool stuff, and meeting new peoples.  This is my first time at the International Quilt Festival and can I tell you, they really know how to put on a show!  That said, I thought I'd share a little bit of Houston with y'all by giving away this special issue of Quilt Scene magazine:
I have two patterns in the magazine: Unexpected Treasure and Renegade Chevron Notebook Cover.
I'm sure you will enjoy making these and all the other lovely projects inside.
If you would like to enter for a chance at receiving this little piece of the International Quilt Festival then leave a note in the comments telling me: Who you would love to take a class from if you were at Quilt Festival?
The drawing will remain open until midnight, (Pacific Time), Friday, November 9th.  I will draw a name and announce the winner on the blog on Saturday, Nov. 10th.  PLEASE MAKE SURE I WILL BE ABLE TO EMAIL YOU IF YOU ARE THE WINNER!  Nothing worse than not being able to contact the winner!

(And if you just can't wait that long to get your own copy of this magazine you can visit the Interweave store and purchase a digital or physical copy for yourself right away.)
Good Luck!

I would love to take a class from Melinda Bula. I was an idiot and didn't take a class when she taught at the Northwind quilters in CA.

I would rather spend hours with the antique quilt dealers!! I've taken lots of classes but right now, I guess Lyric Kinard or Jamie Fingal.

Lisa, so glad you are having a great time in Houston. I don't know who I would want to take a class from but something fun, creative and learning new techniques.

Oh, I don't have to think for a second about my choice. I would go with Leslie Tucker Jenison; I so love the quilt she made!

Even though I know almost everything there is to know about FPP, I've always wanted to be in a class of Carol Doak. Seeing Lyric Kinard's videos and blog, she's obviously a good teacher, so I wouldn't want to miss a class by her. And, and, and,....there's so many good teachers on the Houston list!
Carol Bryer Fallert. She's an amazing quilter and a historic pioneer in the quilt world, making it safe for machine quilting!

hi, Lisa, I wish I could have been in Houston with you! I'd love to take a class from Hollis C., another one from Rayna Gillman- and I'm sure if I thought more, I could come up with other names. Mostly, I'd just love to be able to go to Houston!

I'd be here all day listing the outstanding teachers I love. Judy Coates Perez is probable the top of the list. Rayna would be fun. Lyric would get me out of my funk for sure! So many excellent instructors to choose from and then there would be all the vendors. Sigh, maybe one day. ;) I hope you had a blast!

Rayna G would top my list, followed by any surface design and/or designer teacher of which the list is long!!! Glad you had fun and hope you get to come back many times! Thanks for the opportunity of winning a copy of the book!
