Quilting Arts TV - Part 1

Image
I have so many photos of my adventure to Quilting Arts TV that I decided to break it up into several posts. I hope you don't mind!  I had a fabulous time, especially once I completed my three segments and got past the nervousness. Everyone at KS Productions , where the show is filmed, was fantastic!  Everyone there really goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.  I really hated to leave.   Well, enough of my gabbing - on to the photos! The adventure began when I took a train. . .  . . .plane. . .  . . .and fancy schmancy automobile to KS Productions in Solon, Ohio. I drove straight to the studio from the airport. I had to get my things organized for filming the next day.   Laura Wasilowski and Frieda Anderson   were getting ready to film with host, Susan Brubaker Knapp , when I arrived. Laura and Frieda are two of the nicest people you will ever meet!  They made filming look like...

Words of Comfort

Image
Some friends from my quilt group decided to start a 12x12 quilt project inspired by this group. Basically each member would submit a word, and then we would each make a twelve inch by twelve inch quilt inspired by these words. Each time we are given a new word we have two months to complete the quilt. January 2009 was our first start date, and the word chosen was Comfort. I contemplated what it meant to comfort someone and the words that I try to offer. So often I have felt that the words mean so little but that th...

My Head is Going to EXPLODE!

Everytime I turn around I see something new that I want to try. I checked out an ebook at the library that will teach me more about Adobe Photoshop and haven't taken the time to read it and I think it may expire before I get the chance. There is another book I should just buy and then I won't have the pressure of reading it before a due date. One of my friends recommended a good read for me that is suppose to be very entertaining and I already have two books I'm attempting to read right now so I had to put it on my goodreads "to read" list. I did request it on CD hoping that I will remember to pick it up and then remember to listen to it while I sew. I haven't tried the listening and sewing thing yet. I love to drive and listen to a book on cd because I can so easily get lost into the story and it helps the miles go by. Maybe I will have to drive to my sister's house again so that I can actually listen to the story if the sewing and listening doesn't w...
