Charming Pockets

FYI: In an attempt to catch up the blog with the last year AND stay up to date, I'll be attempting two short posts a week. One that will show what I am currently working on, and one that will be back dated. Hope it doesn't confuse anyone too much (myself included!)

While brainstorming on ideas for new classes, I created a keepsake journal using collaged fabrics, hand embroidery, and beautiful charms. I originally named it Cherished Treasures, but I also like the name Charming Pockets. Who knows what it will end up becoming in the end.

I LOVE these embellishments sold by Gwen LaFleur.

The Turkmen Jewelry parts, as well as other bits and bobs of embellishments, I purchased from Gwen LaFleur were the perfect finishing touches on these pockets.

Each pocket was embroidered, and given a special closing.

Creating this piece led to a pandemic overspending on more bits and bobs from Fire Mountain Gems. I now have a ton of beads, buttons and charms. I should get working!
